Just When I Thought it Wasn't Gonna Happen

This past fall I got the opportunity to become part of the show, Moon Over Buffalo, late into the rehearsal process. I had auditioned and originally not been cast in the show. A month or so later the director had asked to speak with me in private. It turned out that there were a few members of the ensemble the had dropped out of the show. The director had not wanted to give me an ensemble part originally because he thought my talent would be wasted, and the way the casting fell I had not fit the look of the principle roles. However, he asked me if I wanted to join the show and I accepted the offer. The cast was so welcoming, and I fit right in with them.  I got the chance to dress like Rosie the Riveter (picture below), form bonds with people I would not have meet if I hadn't accepted the part. Now I'm on to the next show and can't wait. We're only a couple weeks into the rehearsal process,  but I have a good feeling about it :)
